Camp Chenoa - Antrim, NH
Due to declining attendance and girls choosing other program options, it is no longer cost-effective to run Camp Chenoa as a resident camp. On Sept. 7, 2013 the Board of Directors made the difficult decision to put the property up for sale. Until it is sold, it is still available for troops and groups to use, and we encourage you to do so. Next summer all campers will be welcome at Camp Farnsworth in Thetford, Vt.
Camp Chenoa can accommodate up to 225 people. Chenoa covers 300 acres of fields, forests, and rocky ledges on the banks of Gregg Lake. The lake may be used for swimming, canoeing, and sailing.
The camping facilities are Adirondack shelters, cabins and canvas yurts. All have beds with mattresses. Most units sleep up to 24 people. Picnic tables and fire circles are available at each site. There is no winterized lodge. Each area is served by a central CTS (composting toilet system) and central shower house. Drinking water is available May 1st - October 31st. A barrier-free unit called Dancing Waters is wheelchair accessible.
Additional buildings include the dining hall (serves up to 225 people), pavilion and program center which may be rented separately. The dining hall is not available Oct 31st - May 1st.
40’ climbing tower. Groups can rent the climbing tower along with trained staff while renting. Snowshoes, field games, sports area, environmental activities, pond exploration, field studies, wildlife studies, hiking trails, swimming, boating.
